Ayahuasca Retreats
Each ayahuasca retreat at the Temple of the Way of Light features a balance of female and male healers from the indigenous Shipibo tribe. This incredible team of healers is highly experienced in practicing the ancient art of ayahuasca shamanism. Their ayahuasca ceremonies are supported by highly trained and knowledgeable Western facilitators, who act as a critical cultural bridge between the healers and our guests. Through meticulous planning and experience with thousands of guests, the Temple has developed a range of ayahuasca retreat programs in our beautiful jungle environment, about two hours by boat and trek from the Peruvian city of Iquitos.
Living In Alignment: Ayahuasca Healing Retreat
This retreat offers an immersion in traditional Shipibo plant-spirit healing, complemented with yoga classes and an ontological system of self-inquiry. We share unique distinctions and practices that empower you to take full responsibility for and agency over your life. The alchemy of these systems offers an opportunity for powerful healing that reaches into the roots of trauma and provides highly effective integration guidance to bring profound and lasting transformation into your life.
The program consists of six ceremonies with four Shipibo healers and three experienced facilitators over the course of 12 days, including regular periods of honoring the ancient practice of ayuno – a process of fasting ayahuasca and the ikaros after each ceremony, which enables deeper healing and stronger protections.

Traditional Plant Dietas at Niwe Rao Xobo
We will soon announce the next dates for plant dietas in 2021. Sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of the page to receive our updates!
We are excited to be collaborating with Maestra Ynes and her family as they offer traditional plant dietas at their center in San Francisco, Peru, near Pucallpa, on the Ucayali river. For generations, the family of Ynez Sanchez –with her son, Jose, and daughters, Laura and Lila– has been carrying and practicing the medicine and wisdom of their ancestors. These dietas will also include the added service of our highly skilled and bilingual facilitators to bridge the linguistic and cultural gaps, provide additional tools for processing and integration, and create a synergistic space to maximize the benefits of your traditional Shipibo plant dieta.
**Prior experience with ayahuasca is strictly required.**
