Temple Facilities
The Temple of the Way of Light is located about two hours from Iquitos (up to a one-hour walk from the nearest river). The Temple sits on over 175 hectares of rainforest land with buildings spread out over 20 hectares. The Temple also hosts a permaculture center with numerous projects flourishing across our grounds, supporting self-sufficiency and regeneration of the land. Our land is home to food forests, aquaculture systems, medicinal gardens, and successional poly-crop production of staple foods. We utilize solar energy (for operational use in our kitchens), spring-fed drinking water systems, running-water showers, integrated waste management (recycling, greywater systems, compost toilets), biochar soil-improvement techniques, and much more.
The Temple consists of three centers:

Center 1
Where our regular 9 and 12-Day workshops are held, as well as other specialized retreats. Our ayahuasca retreats are developed in close co-operation with the Shipibo healers themselves, as far as possible in accordance with their traditional use of the medicinal plants of the Amazon.

Center 2
Where we hold the Deep Immersion Program, 13-Day Retreats, and other specialized retreats. This center is where we hold programs that combine the traditional Amazonian Shipibo way of working with ayahuasca with a number of Western and Eastern integrative practices that support the healing journey.

The Chaikuni Center
Where work exchange guests and interns stay who are focused on Permaculture and other associated Temple projects. We also hold specialized programs here.
