The Chaikuni Center
Where work exchange guests and interns stay who are focused on Permaculture and other associated Temple projects. We also hold specialized programs here.

This center hosts our work-exchange participants and some Temple staff. The center is hexagonal and all buildings are built symmetrically and face a large beautiful garden. The Chaikuni Center is a testing ground where we apply many permaculture practices and small projects prior to introducing them to other areas of Temple grounds, such as rainwater harvesting, new greywater systems, new staple-food plants, mulching and soil-improvement techniques, and companion plantings.
There are three accommodation buildings that house a total of 15 people, a kitchen, toilets, showers and sinks with running water, a casa grande, and a maloka. The casa grande contains a dining area, ping-pong table, movie corner, and a lounge corner with benches. The Chaikuni maloka is situated 100 meters away from the center and serves as a space for ceremonies as well as the alternative healing classes offered in our Deep Immersion retreats.
