We are very excited to announce that we have been recently joined by Dr. Tanya Maté as the new Integration Director of the Temple.

Tanya is an exceptionally gifted translator of plant medicine teachings. She is trained as a naturopathic doctor, and is in an ongoing apprenticeship with her father-in-law, Dr. Gabor Maté, learning and practicing his unique style of deep processing, compassionate inquiry and integration of ayahuasca healing.

Her facilitation draws on her clinical and experiential training, as well as her personal work with the plants, to help you interpret ceremony experiences and set the stage for powerful integration in your day-to-day life.

Tanya is passionate about helping people identify whatever is in the way of personal and interpersonal connection. She works from a bio-psycho-social-spiritual understanding of health, and believes that true healing is possible for each and every person.

Booking a Session

Tanya is now available for preparation sessions before coming to the Temple and follow-up integration sessions after retreats. Whether you are booked to attend a retreat in the future or have already been to the Temple, we whole-heartedly recommend that you reach out to Tanya - she can offer valuable guidance on your journey of healing and self-discovery.

Her sessions are organic, and leave space for things to emerge, as they need to. She incorporates attachment theory, trauma theory, non-dual spirituality, and shamanic worldviews to help prepare, translate, and integrate your experiences so you can be healthy and aligned where it really matters: in your own life.

Sessions with Tanya are 50 minutes long and primarily done by Skype. She offers a reduced rate for Temple guests of $99 and donates 10% to the Temple's non-profit sister organization, the Chaikuni Institute.

We will also be sending another email with more details about a new network of integration facilitators (based in Canada, the US and the UK), our up-and-coming Continuing Care Program (which we plan to launch in the fall of this year) and much more information in general about our significant focus on supporting the integration of your ayahuasca experiences at the Temple.

Please see our new page on ayahuasca integration on the Temple website:

Integrating Ayahuasca

Tanya will also be joining us at the Temple throughout most of October, offering processing and integration sessions for guests in our 12-Day and 3-Week Deep Immersion ayahuasca retreats. She will be available for one-on-one sessions if you are looking to dive deeper into your own process, and will be teaching processing and integration classes for our Deep Immersion Program guests.

She is looking forward to working alongside our incredible healers again, and sharing as much as possible while she is here, before she heads to speak and teach at the World Ayahuasca Conference in Brazil!

We hope to see you back at the Temple soon!

Warm wishes,

The Temple Team
